HOME WORKOUT EQUIPMENT
Consistency is key when it comes to staying healthy but we don’t always have time to make it to the gym as often as we want. Having some equipment at home can make a world of difference in keeping up with your workout routine. Below is a list of some relatively affordable and compact equipment that can help you get a great workout at home.
***Disclaimer***
I have tried some of these products but the majority of products I am posting/linking are suggestions for types of equipment, not necessarily the specific brands.
PULL UP Bands
Never mind the name, pull ups are just one application for these bands. A set of these can give you almost unlimited exercise options, which makes them by far the best bang for your buck. Not to mention they are one of the most compact pieces of equipment I own.
Resistance Bands
Resistance bands with handles are very easy to grip. These too are amazingly versatile and can provide almost unlimited options for training.
ANCHOR STRAP
Mount your bands in various anchor points to maximize their use.
Suspension Trainer
Versatile and practical. You can safely sling a suspension trainer over your door at home and get a full body work out.
FABRIC Booty Bands
Glute activation is one of the most important skills to learn when it comes to building a functional body. These are one of the best tools to help you work those glutes.
ADJUSTABLE KETTLE BELLS
Adjustable weights allow for easy storage at home without compromising functionality. There are many different styles for these so shop around and see which type works best for you.
ADJUSTABLE DUMBBELLS
An essential part of any gym, there are many different types/styles of adjustable dumbbells on the market. I have used the Bowflex weights many times and they are very sturdy.
ADJUSTABLE WORKOUT BENCH
First things I look for with a bench is adjustability and how solid it is. Extra bonus if it can fold up flat and slide under you bed or in your closet like the one below.
AB ROLLER
My goodness, the ab roller will give you an intense core workout. Don’t bother with any of the gimmicks online, just a basic wheel on a stick will suffice.
FOAM ROLLER
A foam roller is essential to loosening up those muscles after a good workout. I never liked the fancy ones with all the textures, just a plain ole 6” diameter smooth high density foam is my preference. Anywhere from 12-36” will work for most everyone.
Back Buddy
Do you have tight or spasmed muscles? Well meet your new best buddy. It looks kind of funny but you have to feel it for yourself to understand how effective this thing is at releasing locked up/ sore muscles.
